While writing my scientific me autobiography, it brought back a lot of fond memories of the science teachers that I have had throughout the my schooling years. Science was always one of my favorite subjects and I believe that is why I am excited to be taking this class. There were a lot of specific lessons that I can remember that were taught by certain teachers, such as the reduction and oxidation lesson in chemistry my sophomore year. I can remember the dance and song my teacher would perform for us and it has really stuck with me to this very day. I want to be that kind of teacher. One that when children look back they will remember me for being a bit eccentric, but they will still carry the lessons I taught with them. I want to be able to make an impact on children's lives to help them succeed in the future as my teachers have done for me. I feel teachers have one of the most important jobs, educating them such that they can leave school with an understanding of the world. I'm glad that writing Scientific Me was one of the first assignments of the year because I believe it made me a more conscientious students throughout the semester. I want to become a great teacher so that my students can all potentially be in my position one day.
